To reduce pesticide
use in Manitoba
Goals:
- Promote social change in
a positive, socially conscious way
(i.e. Mosquito Café)
- Collect, display, and
disseminate information on pesticide risks, use and alternatives (and
providers)
- Increase Receivership of
the newsletter As the Crow Flies
- Achieve a cosmetic
pesticide use by-law, an end to fogging, and a Precautionarily
Principled approach to all pesticide use
- Reduce the use and
effects of Malathion and Dursban
- Increase awareness of
the need for 'safe' (pesticide-free) parks & green spaces
- Increase public
awareness of the sheer volume and variety of pesticides used and the
combined effects of all these poisons, for all stakeholders
- Prevent governments and
corporations from making claims of safety, which is against the law
- Secure funding for 2005
and beyond
- Use sustainable
practices, always
